The Township of Holmdel is pleased to present this commemorative publication in remembrance of Holmdel’s history and its 150th Anniversary!

Holmdel Township is a rural suburban community located on the Garden State Parkway and close to highways which give direct access to the beach areas and shopping centers. The Township is located about 30 miles southeast of the core of New York within easy reach of all forms of transportation and with major highway and rail access, the township is in a prime position to serve not only the local market, but the national and world-wide markets as well. The township covers 17.9 square miles and has an estimated population of around 17,000.
